Durham Walking Food Tour
Discover West Durham's historic past and capture the flavor of the culinary present.
On this guided journey through the streets of downtown West Durham we'll be pausing numerous times for sample tastings and personal tales from some of the area's most unique, hidden culinary gems. Along the way, you'll gain some new insights of West Durham's "gritty", "eclectic", blue-collar, tobacco & textile roots that are the foundation for this community's now thriving leadership role in medicine, the performing arts and regional cuisine.
We'll visit 6-8 different local establishments*, including...
- One of downtown Durham's iconic Italian restaurants that just moved to a new West Village location ...
- A
local place where you can count on nightly fresh fish specials
with a seasonal twist...
- A unique bistro where you'll experience the taste, look and feel of Southern France...
- A local establishment that redefines the classic American steakhouse with an Argentinean flare...and much more..
